Second, have you identified yourself as a
Learner, Expert, or Scholar? This question is fundamental to
choosing the correct version of the portfolio for the particular stage
in your academic career. If you assume that you might be one or the
other -- and assume wrong -- you could go a long way in developing
aspects of your portfolio that will be inappropriate or confusing. If
you would like to look at the criteria discussed in the second exercise
again to ensure you correctly defined your academic position, please

Third, did you decide whether the Smart
or Intelligent Portfolio is better suited to your personal needs?
Remember, either format provides the structure you will need to use the
portfolio as a tool for lifelong learning. The only factor in deciding
which one to use is .... wait a minute!! If you reviewed the
third exercise, you already know the answer to that! If you don't, you
may wish to take the time to compare and contrast the two formats.
