Teacher as Expert

Selections from the "Portfolio User B" list indicate that you are most likely a Teacher-Expert.

Practicing teachers, whether they use portfolios themselves or require them from their students (or both), find that most of their artifacts emphasize the Working aspects of the portfolio. Collecting had been paramount in the Teacher-Learner version of the portfolio. But it, along with Showcase items, plays a secondary role for the teacher in the classroom.

Demonstrating is the key element for the Teacher as Expert portfolio, and computer hardware and software are included to facilitate the presentation of materials in a classroom environment.

Your role as a teacher demands a focus on thinking and the development of new knowledge that will make your classrooms special. New lessons, course materials, and student handouts will be created from the artifacts gathered in the previous version of the portfolio.
