Teacher as Learner

If your selections were predominantly from the "Portfolio User A" list, chances are good that you are a Teacher-Learner.

The portfolio for the Teacher as Learner emphasizes Collecting artifacts; Working and Showcase artifacts play a secondary role. Reading is stressed as the key element of the portfolio and along with it, access to libraries, Web sites, classroom resources, and content area materials.

If you decide to use technology to support your efforts, a suite of hardware, software, and support that will facilitate the gathering of materials will be added to your portfolio.

Your role as a Teacher-Learner will lay the foundation for your academic career. The portfolio can become a lifelong tool for professional development and it can begin immediately to house the artifacts that will become part of your teaching tools and, later, for the creation of new knowledge.
