    • Community service opportunities and ideas were briefly discussed.
    • Future meeting times were discussed. Although the 5:00 pm time is advantageous for scheduling rooms (as long as our meetings do not last more than an hour), some students might be in class until 5:15 pm. A possible solution would be to go to a 5:30 pm start time and try to find a dedicated meeting space for 5:30 to 6:30 or 7:00 pm and a specific day each week or month.
    • An important issue to resolve for the club will be to create an official statement of purpose.
    • The need to find ways to establish the club's presence to new students as well as ways to increase the presence of the club across campus was proposed.
    • Possible activies for the club to consider included: Field trips (zoo, aviary, mental hospital, science museum), a movie and discussion night, peer tutoring and peer advising.
    • The group decided that it would be worthwhile to do an event early in the coming Spring semester (early January, 2006). Possibilities included: Pizza party social, movie night, psychology trivia night. Meeting date, time, and location for the planning committee will be posted on the club website (and emails, flyers, etc.).
    • Advertising concerns were raised (e.g., flyers, Chalk-Talk, email, web-notice, class announcements, newsletters, etc.).
    • The possibility of establishing a "phone tree" (for members to quickly contact other members) was raised.

Meeting adjorned at approximately 6:15 pm.
