Guidelines for Submitting Citations

The following items should provide you suggested guidelines for preparing your manuscript for submission to the above publication:

The whole citation must be written in MS Word or RTF format in A4 or Letter format for the page structure. Times New Roman 12 points is the font to be used.Your manuscript must have the following structure:
  • Term/ Concept
    The term or concept must have been approved by the editor prior to submission.
  • Definition
  • Within the size approved (50 - 150 words, 151 - 300 words, or 351 - 500 words max) provide definition and discussion of the topic and provide additional references (articles, books, web links preferred) to further information pertaining to the term/ concept. The reader must be able to understand the term/ concept without referring to additional references; your definition must stand alone.
  • Acronym
    Provide recognized acronyms for your term/ concept found in the literature.
  • Related Terms
    Provide other terms and concepts to which the reader may refer to develop their understanding of the term. These related terms do not necessarily need to appear in the Lexicon, although it would be expected that they would. If you are referencing a related term, please consider submitting a citation for this term as well.
  • References (Should be held to minimum necessary to define the term/ concept)
    References should relate only to material cited within the citation and be listed in alphabetical order, including the author's name, complete title of the cited work, title of the source, volume, issue, year of publication, and pages cited. Please do not include any abbreviations. See the following examples below for Style.
  • Contributing Author Information
    If you submit at least 10 citations for the book, you will be recognized as a Contributing Author. If so, please provide your name, title, and affiliation as part of your citation submissions.

Style

Submitted manuscripts must be written in the APA (American Psychological Association) editorial style. References should relate only to material cited within the manuscript and be listed in alphabetical order, including the author's name, complete title of the cited work, title of the source, volume, issue, year of publication, and pages cited. Please do not include any abbreviations. See the following examples:

One author:
Author, A. A. (1994). Title of work. Location/City, State: Publisher.

Two authors:
Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (1994). Title of work. Location/City, State: Publisher.

More than two authors:
Author, A. A., Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (1994). Title of work. Location/City, State: Publisher.

Instance of publication in press:
Junho, S. (in press). Roadmap for e-commerce standardization in Korea. International Journal of IT Standards and Standardization Research.

Chapter in an edited book:

Report from a university:

State author's name and year of publication where you use the source in the text. See the following examples:

Example 1: In most organizations, data resources are considered to be a major resource (Brown, 2002; Smith, 2001).
Example 2:
Brown (2003) states that the value of data is recognized by most organizations.

The author's name, date of publication, and the page(s) on which the quotation appears in the original text should follow direct quotations of another author's work.

Example 1: Brown (2002) states that "the value of data is realized by most organizations" (p. 45).
Example 2:
"In most organizations, data resources are considered to be a major organization asset" (Smith, 2003, pp. 35-36) and must be carefully monitored by the senior management.

All submissions should be sent to the editor electronically in either MS Word, or RTF. Please make sure complete editing of your citation is conducted to ensure proper English language usage, grammatical structure, spelling, and punctuation. Attention to these details will contribute to clear, concise communication of your ideas, and increase the chance of acceptance of your manuscript by our reviewers.

It is the author’s responsibility to obtain written permission to include any copyrighted materials in the submitted manuscript to this publication. The publisher of the book requires a copy of the written permission submitted with the final version of the manuscript.

ALL MATERIALS SHOULD BE SENT TO THE EDITOR

Upon acceptance, the author(s) will be required to sign a warranty that the MANUSCRIPT is an ORIGINAL work and has not been submitted for publication or published elsewhere.
