RESEARCH HISTORY
My Ph.D. was conducted at the University of Liverpool in England and the Institute of Freshwater Ecology laboratories (now the Center for Ecology and Hydrology) at Windermere and Dorset. During my research I worked at and collaborated with the University's Environmental Radioactivity Research Center. My thesis is entitled "Quantitative Models of Lake Sediments and Atmospheric Fluxes". My Ph.D. supervisors were Professor Peter Appleby and Dr. John Hilton.
Institute of Freshwater Ecology (now CEH Windermere) on the shore of Lake Windermere, Cumbria, UK.
During my postgraduate research I had the opportunity to travel to Insbruck in Austria to sample the water column of a small mountain lake "Gossenköllesee" as part of the MOuntain Lake Research (MOLAR) programme. Here are some photos of me taking soil cores nearby.
